PALMS Series

My Palms series a vivid reflection of the captivating allure that driving through Miami's dynamic neighborhoods hold for me. Partial fronds emerge in flat colors, deliberately receding into the background, much like memories tucked away. Others burst forth in a kaleidoscope of hues, mirroring the vivacity of the neighborhoods that host these majestic palms. It's a narrative of contrasts — the quiet and the exuberant, the past and the present, the fleeting and the eternal.

The wooden panels I paint on extend from the walls, adding a unique dimensionality to my work. It's a tactile invitation for the observer to engage, to step into the very streets that inspire me. As seen through the lens of my travels, these neighborhoods don’t exist as just physical spaces, but as vibrant stories woven like the leaves of travelers palms.
